A word from Joe from Black Mountain Shaving: "At the heart of everything we create, we probably have some music playing while we work. Besides the scents, music is our second favorite driving force.

Besides our conversations about our collaborations, First Line Shave and I share this common thread with music discussions. Ironically, we both share a favorite band that inspired this fragrance. This is the first related to that band with art inspired by one of their albums which felt fitting considering it combined a bear, raccoon and a crow! It's very symbolic of our loves here at Black Mountain Shaving!

Dark Necessities is inspired by a track from this album. California sexy up top with the darkness of rum and tobacco to finish it off. As the song says, "You don't know my mind. You don't know my kind. Dark Necessities are part of my design." The beauty of one's dark side can lead to creativity, growth, and light."
