The Stockyard Barber
There are some scents that just belong on a farm.
The Stockyard Barber is our take on the classic barbershop fragrance—clean, masculine, polished, and familiar—but with just enough grit around the edges to make it feel right at home at Adopted Acres.
It opens like stepping into an old-school barbershop: aromatic cologne, fresh shaving lather, and smooth woods. It’s crisp and put-together, with that unmistakable traditional barbershop character.
But underneath the clean-cut exterior, things get a little more interesting.
As the scent settles in, deeper notes begin to emerge—earthy patchouli, aged wood, damp soil, and a subtle fermented-fruit character. They don’t overpower the barbershop; they give it depth. What starts bright and refined gradually becomes warmer, darker, and more rugged.
Imagine an old barbershop sitting just beyond the stockyards. Leather chairs. Hot towels. Cologne bottles lined up on a wooden shelf. The door opens and the outside air rolls in, carrying the smell of weathered barns, turned earth, and the farm beyond.
The Stockyard Barber is traditional barbershop dressed for the country.
Clean enough for Saturday night.
Rugged enough for Monday morning.

EIEIO Shave Soap Base
Farm-raised fats. Serious shave performance.
EIEIO is the shave soap base that feels most like Adopted Acres.
Built around a rich blend of Wagyu beef tallow, duck fat, and lard, EIEIO takes traditional animal-fat shaving soap and pushes it toward the kind of performance we want from a modern artisan base: dense lather, excellent protection, lasting slickness, and a post-shave feel that doesn’t disappear when the razor is put away.
The name may be playful. The formulation isn’t.
What makes EIEIO different?
Each of the fats brings something different to the shave. Tallow provides the rich, creamy foundation and cushion. Lard contributes to the dense, stable character of the lather, while duck fat and Wagyu tallow help give EIEIO its luxurious skin feel and residual slickness.
The result is a soap that builds into a thick, low-bubble, protective lather with plenty of glide for multiple passes. Even after the visible lather has been removed, there’s enough residual slickness for touch-ups without immediately reaching for the brush again.
We finish EIEIO with aloe vera juice and glycerin to help give the soap its soft, easy-loading consistency while adding to the hydrated feel of the finished shave.
Made for shaving—not just lather pictures.
A giant bowl of pretty foam doesn’t mean much if your razor doesn’t like what’s underneath it.
EIEIO was developed with the actual shave as the priority: cushion, razor glide, residual slickness, protection, and post-shave skin feel. It’s forgiving with water, easy to load, and capable of producing the dense, glossy lather we look for in a great shaving soap.
And like everything at Adopted Acres, there’s a little bit of the farm behind it.
